26. Dunking on Dwight

As has been acknowledged already, Kobe Bryant has a penchant for dunking on players who go on to become his teammate. Steve Nash was a victim during the 2006 NBA Playoffs, and another player who joined Bryant in 2012-13 wasn’t any luckier.

As illustrated in the video provided above, The Black Mamba showed no remorse in dunking on then-rookie Dwight Howard.

Howard entered the NBA with great fanfare as the No. 1 overall selection in the 2004 NBA Draft. One year after LeBron James received the same distinction, Howard was tasked with living up to the hype.

The former Orlando Magic star had a strong season, but Bryant wasn’t going to let him get away unscathed.

In what Howard described as the first time he’d ever been dunked on, Bryant welcomed the rookie to the NBA. It was a brutal posterization that included Bryant hanging on the rim and staring down at his defeated opponent.

It doesn’t get any more, “Black Mamba,” than that.
