The Miami Heat have been reeling in recent weeks, but Dwyane Wade put a stop to that Monday against the Chicago Bulls with a vintage performance.

The Miami Heat have been struggling mightily in recent games. Going into their game Monday night against the Chicago Bulls, the Heat were losers in eight of their last 10 games. They saw themselves plummeting in the standings, as injuries have derailed the team over the last 20 days.

It looked like the losing would continue Monday, as recent performances from the Heat gave little to be encouraged about. But, in desperate need of a win to snap their four-game losing streak and get some momentum built on this five game road trip, the Heat got a vintage performance from Dwyane Wade.

Wade turned the clock back against the Bulls Monday night, looking like his old self as the driving force behind an 89-84 Heat victory over the Bulls. Wade had a magnificent game, scoring 28 points with seven rebounds, five assists and one block, finishing with a plus/minus ratio of plus-14 in 34 minutes.

The Heat needed a performance like this in the worst way from Wade, and he delivered to snap their losing streak. Like many of his teammates, Wade has been dealing with injuries of his own.

He was forced to sit against the Washington Wizards Wednesday night and the Denver Nuggets last week because of a shoulder injury, but against the Bulls Wade was able to put the team on his back and carry them to a victory.

In addition to the stellar offensive performance from Wade, he also delivered a strong one on the defensive end of the court. Wade played a big part in slowing down Jimmy Butler, who has put together yet another strong season but did not have it against the Heat. Butler was held to 5-of-15 from the field and only 13 points, also adding six rebounds and four assists.

This was a huge win for the Heat because it not only snapped their losing streak, but was the first of their back-to-back set. They will be back at it again tonight against the Brooklyn Nets, so it was imperative that they got a victory in the first game of their back-to-back set.

The Heat have split the season series thus far with the Nets, but already have a victory at Barclays Center this season under their belt.

If Wade is able to give another performance like he did against the Bulls, it would go a long way to picking up a victory against the lowly Nets and really get the Heat back on track as they slowly but surely get some of their injured players back on the court.
