Best Bargains

Shabazz Muhammad ($4,500) has been hot off the bench for the Timberwolves as of late. He’s scoring 23.0 FPPG in his last five games. When he enters the game, he is a shot-taker and the go-to scorer on the Wolves’ second unit. He scored 22 points on his way to a 28-fantasy points performance against the Cavaliers last time.

Alonzo Gee ($4,000) got the start last time out for the Pelicans over Dante Cunningham. He may get a second straight start against the Rockets after putting up a 26-fantasy points performance against the Bucks. He’s scoring 25.1 FPPG in his last two games and will provide good value with another start.

Players To Sit

Jimmy Butler ($8,400) has not been playing well lately. Ever since his career-high 52-point performance, he’s only scoring 35.3 FPPG. He also averages 6.5 FPPG less at home than on the road. Against a defensive team like the Heat, that’s even more cause for concern when considering drafting him.

Draymond Green ($9,100) has been underperforming over his last five games. He’s averaging 37.3 FPPG during that span. Green feeds off of the home crowd, which may boost his performance on Monday. The Spurs are the best team against power forwards, which is another reason to not draft Green.

Take note of the key injuries on Monday. With Duncan out, the Spurs will dish out more playing time to David West, Boris Diaw and Boban Marjanovic. Those could all be value picks. Due to the threat of injuries, there could be at least three power forwards priced under $5,000 starting. As always, keep an eye on the injury reports. Typically two hours before tip-off is when injury reports begin coming in, so be on the lookout.
