Top Four PFs

  1. DeMarcus Cousins (Kings) – $11,000 vs. Hornets
  2. Anthony Davis (Pelicans) – $10,000 vs. Rockets
  3. LaMarcus Aldridge (Spurs) – $7,200 @ Warriors
  4. Terrence Jones (Rockets) – $5,200 @ Pelicans

Rationale:

  • Cousins has a double-double in each of his last 10 games and is averaging 60.5 FPPG over that span. He also had 30 points and 11 rebounds on his way to a 53.8-fantasy point performance in a previous meeting with the Hornets. His price tag is high, but the reward should also be high against a depleted front court with Cody Zeller and Al Jefferson both out. Charlotte is 21st against power forwards.
  • Davis is almost a bargain due to Cousins’ price tag. Davis is averaging 48.6 FPPG over his last three contests. He is scoring 52.5 FPPG in two meetings with the Rockets this season. If Dwight Howard can’t go for the Rockets, Davis should have a big night. Houston is 19th against small forwards.
  • Aldridge will be the Spurs’ go-to-guy with Tim Duncan sitting out with knee soreness (ESPN.com). He’s been inconsistent as of late due to poor shooting. He’s 14-for-41 (34.1 percent) in his last three games. It could be another tough night against the 14th team against power forwards, but Aldridge’s usage rate should go up with Duncan out.
  • Jones is scoring 26.4 FPPG in two meetings with the Pelicans this season. He’s playing well lately, scoring 21.0 FPPG in his last four games. It would be better if it weren’t for a 2.5-fantasy performance against the Mavericks. Due to success against the Pels, he should be a good play despite NOLA being fourth against power forwards.
