5. D’Angelo Russell, Los Angeles Lakers

Russell has been on fire over his last 10 games, shooting 52.0 percent from the field and scoring 14.9 points per game.

He’s looked better over the last month or so and has had a few impressive 20-plus point outings now. Whether it’s driving inside or shooting from the perimeter Russell can do it all. And let’s not forget about his court vision and passing ability.

I still think his future is at shooting guard in a role similar to James Harden and Manu Ginobli but for now he’s the Lakers’ point guard of the future. He has all the tools of a future All-Star
