Stephen Curry

The average NBA — or even sports fan — doesn’t need to be told how incredible and unique of a scorer Stephen Curry is.

As evidenced by the video, Curry can fill it up quickly when hot.

He’s deadly accurate from anywhere beyond half court and some areas behind that line. Curry combines that deadeye, hair trigger shooting stroke with a yo-yo tight handle to be the most lethal offensive threat in the game.

All of that would make him a shoo-in to break 80, right? Wrong.

There is only one thing that stands in Curry’s path to achieving such dominance: the incredible play of his teammates.

Draymond Green and Klay Thompson have become minor stars in their own right, with the former being a nightly triple-double threat (averaging 14.7 points, 9.5 rebounds and 7.3 assists a game) and the latter being a deadeye shooter and volume scorer himself, having a Kobe-esque 37-point quarter against the Sacramento Kings last season.

The team also gets stellar contributions from invaluable role players like Harrison Barnes and Andre Iguodala.

The fact that the Warriors are one of if not the best all-around team in basketball almost guarantees that, despite his major role in the offense, they will never depend on him that heavily for scoring, thus making his chances of reaching 81 slim.
