You won’t hear much about it, but Washington Wizards star John Wall has been one of the best players in the NBA in 2015-16. Not too far removed from averaging a double-double in 2014-15, Wall has kept an injury-ravaged Wizards team afloat a season later.

With another sensational week, the 25-year-old moves up to No. 9.

Wall kicked things off with 28 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and a steal on 12-of-21 shooting in a 118-104 victory over the Indiana Pacers. He followed it with 36 points, 13 assists, seven rebounds, and seven steals in a loss to the Boston Celtics, and had 18 points and 10 assists during a win over the Miami Heat.

A 4-of-17 shooting performance against the Portland Trail Blazers hurts, but even then, he picked up 10 assists and three steals.

Wall may not be shining in the advanced metrics department, but that isn’t a slight on him. He’s been the life of a Wizards team that has no business being 20-21 with Bradley Beal having missed 20—yes, 20—games already.

Despite his phenomenal season, Wall continues to be under-appreciated by the masses.
