At the midpoint of every NBA season, quite a few preseason narratives can be thrown out the window. Most preseason predictions have proven to either be genius or completely off-base by now, injuries have altered the course of a season for some teams, and a few squads have just revealed themselves to either be massive disappointments or pleasant surprises.

This season, we’ve seen the playoff-hopeful Phoenix Suns become one of the worst teams in the league, the Eastern Conference as a whole has risen back to prominence and the expected contenders — the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder, to be specific — continue to chip away at a hopeful title run.

The Houston Rockets and New Orleans Pelicans have been massive disappointments, the Dallas Mavericks and Indiana Pacers are shocking the league despite a lack of firepower on the roster, and we’ve seen players around the league ascend into the daily topic of discussion.

Not every team has reached the 41-game mark of the 2015-16 NBA season, but screw it; we’ve basically got a good idea about where every team stands at this point.

With the NBA essentially reaching the midway point, it’s time to take a look around the association with some updated standings for the individual end-of-season awards the NBA hands out for Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Man of the Year and the Most Valuable Player Award.
