Lou Amundso

The Vine below was literally the best highlight I could find of Lou Amundson on the internet, and it features him traveling his way down the court for an ugly, barely-made layup.

Amundson was, believe it or not, a starter for 35 of the 41 games he was a member of the New York Knicks last season.

It was a rough year.

This year, Amundson has returned to his rightful home of the bench, where he has spent most of his nine years in the NBA. In the 15 games Lou has gotten playing time, scoring 35 points overall and shooting 45 percent.

Set to make $1.6 million this year, Phil might as well try and chop that price down a bit and see if he can’t get Lou to come back. Having some veterans to crowd the bench is never a bad thing, especially if he can teach Kristaps a thing or two about how to handle being in the league. At the end of the day though, this is far from make or break and if Phil thinks he can use that money elsewhere, it won’t be the end of the world.

Verdict: Do whatever you want, Phil
