Rationale:

  • Harden is scoring 48.4 FPPG in two games against the Clippers this season. He has shot 46.2 percent from the field and hit 23-of-24 free-throws in the season series. He’s also averaging about a rebound less than his season average per game. Harden should be a good play against the 12th team against shooting guards.
  • Butler is averaging 53.6 FPPG in two games against the Pistons this season. He’s had two days rest after playing three games in four days, so he should be well-rested. He’s rebounded the ball at a 9.5 per game average against Detroit this season. The Pistons are 11th against shooting guards.
  • McCollum is going against the second-worst team against shooting guards. The matchup favors him with Bradley Beal on a minutes limit. McCollum is struggling as a shooter, having only hit 40 percent once in his last five games, but his 27 percent usage percentage should bode well.
  • Evans scored 45.3 fantasy points against the Grizzlies in their first matchup. He scored 20 points and had 10 assists in that contest, both above his season averages.
