Shabazz Muhammad

Speaking of another player in a curious spot, Shabazz Muhammad has absolutely made a nice impression throughout his three years in the league, especially with how odd his NBA career started.

But with the Minnesota Timberwolves’ odd situation regarding their backcourt (or specifically, their shooting guards), the question of whether Muhammad is viewed as a long-term piece by the team’s front office has been magnified over the last couple of months.

With that said, the price will surely be high if a team like the Raptors have interest in him.

However, Muhammad would be instant offense off the bench (which happens to be a big liability for the Raptors this year) as he’s scoring 9.4 points per game on 49 percent shooting from the field and 35 percent from deep (in just 19.2 minutes per game, by the way).

Additionally, Muhammad is still on his rookie contract and if he can eventually prove that he can become a long-term piece for the Raptors, or any team or that matter, that would be a big steal.
