Markieff Morris

We’ve been on Markieff Morris trade watch for about six months and counting now.

Of course, a lot about Morris’ situation is really well-known at this point and as the Phoenix Suns firmly sit high in the lottery, they have a lot of decisions to make about where they want their roster to be at the start of next year.

Not only that, but the value of Morris is at rock bottom (if it wasn’t already there), and a contending team like the Raptors could swoop in and try to turn Morris’ career around.

However, the potential of adding a headcase like Morris could affect the locker room morale (i.e. 2013-14 Indiana Pacers) and could have ramifications on the rest of the season.

Also, adding Morris pretty much leaves the Raptors with little flexibility at both of their forward spots, given the nature of his contract. That definitely goes against what general manager Masai Ujiri likes to do and with a big summer ahead, that makes adding Morris highly unlikely at this point.
