With the trade deadline quickly approaching, here are five ideal trade targets that could help the Toronto Raptors potentially make a deep playoff run.

The Eastern Conference is up for grabs.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are the clear frontrunner no doubt, but after that, only 3.5 games separate the second seed from the eighth seed in the very fluid conference.

With that said, it’s looking like this could be a year where if a team makes one move, that could slot them as the runner-up to the Cavaliers if everything breaks right for them.

Arguably, there isn’t a team positioned any better to make such a move than the Toronto Raptors, who are currently slotted behind Cleveland with a record of 25-15.

After bowing out of the first round of the playoffs in disappointing fashion the last two years, it’s no secret that the Raptors want to make serious noise in the playoffs this year. Due to the present situation in the East, it almost feels like it’s now or never for the Raptors to make a move and make that deep playoff run a reality.

Some of these names won’t take people by surprise, but there are couple of that could be low-risk/high reward for the team.  So, without further adieu, here are five potential trade targets the Toronto Raptors should consider making this trade season.
