Honorable Mentions

Los Angeles Clippers:

The Los Angeles Clippers need another scoring threat off the bench and Lance Stephenson has been demoted to the very end of the rotation. With Born Ready’s contract still on the books for 2016-17, the Clippers might consider moving on from him sooner rather than later to bring in a more veteran presence like Jennings.

For the Pistons, they’d be taking a risk paying Stephenson $9 million next season, but they’d have him on the books as opposed to Jennings, who is a free agent this summer. The Clippers might prefer the flexibility of Jennings’ contract coming off the books if they fall short of a title this year and look to retool once again.

Milwaukee Bucks:

This would probably never happen, but wouldn’t it be fun to bring Brandon Jennings back to the Milwaukee Bucks? It’s not like Michael Carter-Williams and Greivis Vasquez are tearing it up at the point guard position, after all.

O.J. Mayo is shooting a dismal 37.4 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from three-point range this season, but he’s a career 37.3 percent shooter from deep and would help the Pistons’ second unit on the perimeter. However, since he’s also a free agent this summer, the Pistons would probably rather keep Jennings and see how he does the rest of the season.
