PG – Jeremy Lin, Charlotte Hornets

2015-16 Statistics: 12.3 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 3.1 APG, 42.6 FG%

Since the eruption of “Linsanity” back when Lin played for the New York Knicks in 2011-12, Jeremy Lin has developed into a productive NBA point guard despite people speaking harshly of him. After New York, his next four seasons would include stints with the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and now the Charlotte Hornets.

Lin has experience as a starter. He started all 82 games for the Rockets in 2012-13 and during his year in Los Angeles, he heard his named announced in the starting lineup 30 times. This season, he only has six starts much because of the high-level play of Kemba Walker, but coming off the bench and producing has never been a problem for Lin.

His 12.3 points per game average ranks fourth behind Walker, Nicolas Batum and Al Jefferson. The Hornets came out of the gates strong and were able to see their name in second-place for a few days. But with a very tight Eastern Conference, one loss can drop a team four spots like it’s nothing. Since the new year, the Hornets have been struggling by losing six of seven games to put them in 12th-place with an 18-20 overall record.
