Matchup Of The Game: Gerald Green vs. Will Barton

A strong bench is a big key to success for an NBA team. Tonight we will get a strong matchup of sixth men off the bench between Gerald Green and Will Barton. Both players are super athletic and can provide a highlight play or two every night and can score the basketball with ease.

Green is the go-to player for the Heat off the bench, and has been playing very well thus far on the road trip. Green has scored in double-figures in each game, averaging 17 points per. He has also logged big minutes, playing 34 in the first three games and 33 in the most recent one. If the Heat are going to get the victory tonight, Green scoring effectively off the bench would help.

In Barton, the Nuggets have a do-it-all wingman off the bench. Barton is a jack of all trades, as he can lead the team in scoring, rebounding or assisting on any night. He came up big against the Warriors on Wednesday, scoring 21 points with six rebounds and two assists. Barton is a key piece to the Nuggets’ success, as he plays 29.5 minutes per game despite starting only once this season.

These two should match up throughout the game whenever they are on the court, which should be for major minutes once again. It would not be surprising to see the team who has the more productive sixth man tonight pick up the win.
