8. Kevin Love

In Kevin Love‘s first season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, it was all too apparent that head coach David Blatt needed to incorporate Love in more pick-and-pop sets. But after an offseason of rehabilitating his shoulder, Love arrived at Media Day with a new gameplan of his own: MOAR CURLS.

Whoever told Kevin Love it’d be okay to show up for the 2015-16 season with an afro perm is either cruel, a 70s porn star or Anderson Varejao. It’s not like the mustache is helping things.

Love deserves more credit than he gets as the third member of the Cavaliers’ Big Three. He spreads the floor, he’s pulling down boards left and right and he’s averaging a well-rounded 16.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game on 36.1 three-point shooting.

But this new ‘do was bad before mentioning how much worse it looks in the actual games, when the combination of Love’s headband and his own sweat makes him look like he’s got Medusa hair. Love won’t turn anyone to stone, but the look is ugly all the same. Let’s just hope this isn’t perm-anent.
