Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors continue to plug along as the favorites to win the Atlantic Division title. The quietly 24-15 Raptors have relied upon the 29-year-old point guard to contribute in virtually every phase of the game.
That’s exactly what he’s done.
Statistically, Lowry ranks in the Top 5 in steals and the Top 10 in 3-point field goals made. He’s No. 18 in the NBA in points per game, No. 13 in assists per contest, No. 9 in free throw percentage, and No. 4 amongst point guards in rebounding.
Lowry is also No. 2 amongst point guards in Defensive Real Plus-Minus, and is No. 7 in the NBA in Win Shares.
Over the past week, Lowry reminded the NBA of how dangerous he can be as a scorer. He posted 21 points, 10 rebounds and four steals in a 97-88 win over John Wall and the Washington Wizards, and had 25 points, six boards, five assists, and two steals in a 108-95 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers.
There have been some ups and downs, but generally speaking, Lowry has been superb in 2015-16.
