Top Four SGs

  1. Klay Thompson (Warriors) – $8,200 @ Nuggets
  2. C.J. McCollum (Trail Blazers) – $7,200 vs. Jazz
  3. Andrew Wiggins (Timberwolves) – $6,500 @ Rockets
  4. Will Barton (Nuggets) – $6,200 vs. Warriors

Rationale:

  • Thompson is averaging 39.0 FPPG in three contests against the Nuggets this year. He’s cooled off slightly (31.4 FPPG) in his last two games from his previously great shooting performances. He should have another good game against the Nuggets, who are 23rd against shooting guards.
  • McCollum is averaging 43.3 FPPG in two games against the Jazz. He’s hit better than his season average (35.2 FPPG) in five of his last seven games. He has played well against the Jazz this season, despite their second-best efforts against shooting guards.
  • Wiggins is scoring 38.3 FPPG in his last three games. He hasn’t played the Rockets this season, but matched up against James Harden should work in his favor offensively. The Rockets are 19th against shooting guards.
  • Barton is averaging 42.1 FPPG against the Warriors this season. Players may be cautious, since he’s only averaging 16.7 FPPG over his last four contests. But his prior success against the Warriors, who are 25th against shooting guards, is enough to make him a good play.
