1. Turnovers Starting To Become An Issue

During their 120-105 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Jan. 9, the Bulls recorded 22 turnovers, which led to 25 points for the Hawks. In their 114-100 home loss to the Washington Wizards, the Bulls committed 16 turnovers which led to 17 points. This was a big reason why the Wizards tallied 20 fast break points.

Usually teams learn from their miscues, but that hasn’t been the case with the Bulls because the Bucks scored a whopping 30 points courtesy of 17 Chicago turnovers. Jimmy Butler, who led all players with four turnovers, provided this assessment, via CSN Chicago:

"“We turned the ball over, they got in the open floor and got a lot of easy baskets,” Butler said. “Trying to thread the needle (on passes), especially me. Trying to do too much instead of making the simple play.”"

Simply put, when a team fails to take care of the basketball and give its opponents extra possessions, bad things will happen more times than not. That has been the case during this three-game losing skid.
