Game 4 – San Antonio Spurs (Jan. 17)

The Mavs and Spurs played a game based on defense in their first meeting this season. Though the Spurs are arguably the best team in the NBA, the Mavs kept it close in an 88-83 loss, and they had a couple of chances to take the lead late.

Legends Dirk Nowitzki and Tim Duncan will meet up yet again in what will be the hardest game for the Mavs during their four-game stretch.

The real battle of this game will be between Chandler Parsons and Kawhi Leonard, who has emerged as an even better all-around player this season. If Parsons is not able to defend him, he is going to have to make sure he keeps up in the scoring category or else things could get ugly.

If the Mavs are able to play another low-scoring game with the Spurs, they will have a chance but if things turn into a shootout, the odds will definitely turn in the Spurs’ favor.
