Giacubeno’s Gunners: Top NBA Scorers From Jan. 4-11
No. 5 LeBron James
Games: 4
PPG: 26
FG: 39/67 (58.2%)
3PT: 8/20 (40%)
Since Kyrie Irving’s return, James is able to save some energy offensively to allow now that he doesn’t have to be the facilitator every possession. Still, James had a big week scoring-wise, eclipsing the 30-point mark twice.
In his best performance, he posted a season-high 37 points to go along with nine assists and seven rebounds in a 95-85 win over Philadelphia. James also dominated against Washington where at one point in the beginning of the second half, he hit four-straight three’s to help the Cavaliers pull away and eventually win 121-115.
The Cavaliers are currently riding a seven-game winning streak and are in full control of the Eastern Conference. Their next four games will be a great test to see just how hot they are as they set to face the Mavericks, Spurs, Rockets, and Warriors. With everyone healthy, there is no telling how good this team can be lead by The King.
