Top Four SGs

  1. James Harden (Rockets) – $9,900 vs. Pacers
  2. C.J. McCollum (Trail Blazers) – $7,200 vs. Thunder
  3. Lou Williams (Lakers) – $6,200 vs. Jazz
  4. J.R. Smith (Cavaliers) – $5,000 @ 76ers

Rationale:

  • Harden is a lethal scorer, and the Rockets should be in a high-scoring contest with the Pacers. The Pacers are 23rd against shooting guards, and being defended by an undersized Monta Ellis should benefit Harden. He has been slightly better at home, averaging 2.0 FPPG more than on the road.
  • McCollum has struggled in his last three games, averaging 29.8 FPPG. His price has decreased by $900 because of it, which is an advantage to DraftKings players. There should be a big offensive battle with the Thunder, who rank 17th against shooting guards.
  • Williams has had success while Kobe Bryant is enjoying his farewell tour. He is streaky, and fortunately for him he scored 53 fantasy points against the Thunder on Friday. The Jazz rank second against shooting guards. Williams could have a big game if he Bryant sits out.
  • Smith has been on fire in his last three games, averaging 35.2 FPPG. That’s 13.6 FPPG better than his season average. He’s only averaging 9.0 FPPG in two meeting with the 76ers this year, but he did score 19 fantasy points in their lats meeting. Philadelphia ranks 12th against shooting guards.
