Phoenix Suns

The Suns recently lost their star point guard Eric Bledsoe to a torn meniscus that will likely cost him the rest of the season.

Phoenix still has Brandon Knight on the roster, so their starting point guard position is still set, but they do not have a proven backup on their roster. Because of this and the fact that they are one of the worst teams in the league at this point, they may look to unload some of their players to rebuild for next season.

The Suns have some role players on their team that could fit into the Thunder lineup and bolster the bench unit.

Markieff Morris has fallen out of favor in Phoenix with head coach Jeff Hornaceck and the team’s owner, Robert Sarver, who recently had some harsh comments to say about his young forward. The Suns have had tough luck finding a trade destination for Morris, so his price is falling as the days go by.

Presti would have to do some negotiating in order to obtain Morris since the salaries don’t match, but a package including Augustin and another expiring contract or draft pick could be the right price.

Another player of interest for the Thunder could be Mirza Teletovic, who is a three-point sniper and capable rebounder off the bench. His length as a 6’9″ forward allows him to play average defense, if the effort is there. Although he struggles to defend in the low post against bigger bodies, the team defense of the Thunder and the limited role he would have would prevent it from becoming too big of an issue.
