The Los Angeles Clippers have done an exceptional job of winning without injured power forward Blake Griffin. Players such as Paul Pierce, J.J. Redick, and Austin Rivers have all stepped up, but it’s point guard Chris Paul who has fronted the Clippers’ survival and resurgence.

It wasn’t Paul’s most efficient week, but he got the job done as Los Angeles extended its winning streak to six games.

Paul nearly fell out of the Top 20 with his first two performances. He shot a combined 7-of-30 from the field, but somewhat saved himself by dishing out 12 and 14 assists, respectively, with solid play in the clutch.

Against the Portland Trail Blazers, Paul achieved redemption.

The Point God was masterful, recording 21 points and 19 assists in a 109-98 road win over Damian Lillard’s crew. He shot 9-of-19 from the field and consistently broke the Trail Blazers’ defense down in isolation.

It’s hard to knock a player when their worst efforts prove sufficient in the pursuit of victory.
