Kevin Durant has been absolutely ridiculous during the 2015-16 NBA regular season. He’s not yet back at the level he reached in 2013-14, but the former league MVP has coupled Top 5 scoring with an unfair measure of efficiency.

What else is new?

Durant is one of the greatest scorers in NBA history, and his four scoring titles are evidence enough to prove it. In 2015-16, he’s committed to a higher level of defense and has embraced the task of facilitating under new head coach Billy Donovan.

Thus far in 2015-16, Durant is shooting a ridiculous 56.0 percent from the field in isolation—the No. 2 mark in the NBA.

Durant is still battling the occasional injury, but it’s nothing serious enough to be overwhelmingly concerned about. If he’s able to maintain a clean bill of health until season’s end, he should get right back into the MVP discussion.

The fact that OKC has won 17 of its past 21 games with Durant in the lineup can only help his case.
