Draymond Green had one heck of a week. The Golden State Warriors went 4-0, and Green scored a season-high 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting against the Denver Nuggets to help the Warriors get there.

And then there was the whole, “Playing like a legend,” thing.

Green opened the week with 10 points, 16 assists and 11 rebounds at the Houston Rockets. He tallied 29 points, 17 rebounds and 14 assists against Denver, and had 13 points, 15 boards and 10 dimes in a home win over the Charlotte Hornets.

That put Green in rare historical air with Grant Hill, LeBron James, Jason Kidd, and Russell Westbrook.

"Draymond Green is"

Green is the first Warriors player to record three consecutive triple-doubles since Hall of Famer Tom Gola.

According to Basketball-Reference.com, Green’s seven triple-doubles are the most by a forward in a single season since Hill had 13 in 1996-97. For perspective, Hill accumulated his 13 triple-doubles in 80 games played; Green has seven in 35 appearances.

As the defensive anchor, leading rebounder, and primary facilitator for the 33-2 Warriors, Green deserves every ounce of praise he receives.
