The New Orleans Pelicans are back at full strength, and that’s great news for Anthony Davis. The 22-year-old, who deservedly received an All-NBA First Team nod in 2014-15, now has the supporting cast to make a run at the playoffs.

The question is, can Davis lead New Orleans to a second consecutive improbable postseason appearance?

Davis had 14 points and 15 rebounds in a six-point loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on New Year’s Eve, but bounced back well. He dropped an efficient 31 points and 14 rebounds in a victory over the Dallas Mavericks, and had 26 points, 12 boards, seven assists, three blocks, and two steals in the second clash with Dallas.

With no rational way around it, Davis has been individually superb in 2015-16.

Davis is one of the most complete players in all of basketball, and his absurd statistics should be evidence enough. He’s No. 2 in double-doubles, No. 6 in Player Efficiency Rating, and ranks in the Top 10 in points, rebounds and blocks per game.

One would like to see New Orleans winning with even a shred of consistency, but Davis has earned his spot in the player power rankings with efficient and consistent play.
