Washington Wizards star John Wall is coming off of the best month of his NBA career. He dominated the competition in a relentless manner, averaging 22.6 points and 11.7 assists on a slash line of .460/.377/.836.

In turn, Wall was named Eastern Conference Player of the Month.

Without missing a beat, Wall began January with 24 points and 13 assists in a 103-91 victory over the Orlando Magic. He struggled the next time out, but quickly returned to form with 20 points and 12 assists on 4-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

That was Wall’s 19th double-double, which is second amongst perimeter players and fifth overall in the NBA.

Wall has 12 games with at least 20 points and 10 assists, which is second to just Russell Westbrook. He has the Washington Wizards remaining relevant without Bradley Beal, who has missed 12 consecutive games.

As both a leader and an individual player, a point guard can’t play much better than Wall has since December.
