Toronto Raptors: Kyle Lowry

2015-16 Salary: $12 million
2016-17 Salary: $12 million
2017-18 Salary: $12 million (player option)

Honorable Mention: Cory Joseph, DeMar DeRozan

Think about this: the Toronto Raptors‘ best player, who has them at 22 wins for the fourth best record in the Eastern Conference, is getting paid as much as Serge Ibaka this season. That’s quite a steal.

Basketball in Canada has never been as popular — or successful — as it is now with Kyle Lowry leading the charge. The Raptors have posted a franchise-record win total in each of their last two seasons, and Lowry is averaging an All-Star caliber 20.6 points, 6.5 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game this year.

Cory Joseph deserves a shout-out for living up to his contract so far, and DeMar DeRozan should be in this conversation given all the scoring he provides on $10 million a year. But Lowry is easily the best value since he’s been Toronto’s best and most important player while playing on such an affordable deal.
