Honorable Mention: Andre Drummond

Reggie Jackson may be living up to his massive contract extension, but he’s still being paid max-level money, which automatically disqualifies him. That makes this one a landslide for Marcus Morris, especially since Ersan Ilyasova only has one non-guaranteed year left, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is on a rookie-scale deal and…OH WAIT. Andre Drummond!

The reason Drummond did not receive this designation despite being paid a meager $3.2 million this year while averaging 17.9 points and 15.7 rebounds per game? He’s about to get paid this summer. After delaying his contract extension last summer to leave the Detroit Pistons with more cap space to retool the roster, Drummond is heading for a massive paycheck.

As of this moment, Drummond is on a steal of a contract. But since that will promptly end in a few months, we switch back to the embattled Morris, who only takes a break from bashing his old team long enough to put up 14.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He’s only shooting 32.2 percent from three-point range, but as he adjusts to starter’s minutes, he’ll continue to be one of those guys quietly having a great season.
