Top Four Shooting Guards

  1. DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors ($8,200) vs. Brooklyn Nets
  2. Will Barton, Denver Nuggets ($7,300) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
  3. J.J. Redick, L.A. Clippers ($5,000) vs. Portland Trail Blazers
  4. J.R. Smith, Cleveland Cavaliers ($4,600) vs. Washington Wizards

 Rationale:

  • The Nets are dead last on FanDuel NBA vs. opposing SGs and DeRozan averaged 22.0 PPG, 7.7 APG and 5.7 RPG against them last season, all of which exceeded his 20.1 PPG, 3.5 APG and 4.6 RPG overall.
  • Barton’s torrid run came to a screeching halt in his last game (9.4 fantasy points) but he has a good chance to bounce back against a T-Wolves squad that is just average vs. off-guards over their last 10 games.
  • Portland is in the lower third overall against SGs and Redick has reverse scoring splits this season, averaging 17.0 PPG on the road vs. 14.6 PPG in home games.
  • The Wizards are eighth-most generous overall to 2-guards, and Smith has exceeded 21 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He’s probably getting a lot more open looks now that the Cavs’ are finally at full strength.
