5. D’Angelo Russell, Los Angeles Lakers

Russell is the future at point guard for the Lakers and the flashes of brilliance are appearing on a more consistent basis of late.

The highlight for him this past week was a 16-point performance against the Celtics but he’s still struggled to put the ball in the basket efficiently.

Regardless, Russell still makes plays and looks like an NBA floor general. His All-Star potential as a passer and shooter drives his long-term appeal and I’m certain he’ll be a fixture among the top players in his class.
