10. John Wall’s Resurgence

Only two players in the NBA have at least 10 games with 20-plus points and 10-plus assists in 2015-16: John Wall and Russell Westbrook. After that dynamic duo of point guards, James Harden and Damian Lillard are tied for No. 3 with four.

With that knowledge, perspective has been gained for the following statistic: Wall recorded at least 20 points and 10 assists 10 times in December alone.

In other words, Wall had more 20-point and 10-assist games in one month than the No. 3 players have in all of 2015-16 combined. Westbrook is slightly ahead of Wall with 14 overall, but he’s done so in 33 games.

Wall has 11 in his past 16 appearances.

For the month, the Washington Wizards star averaged 22.6 points, 11.7 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.6 3-point field goals made per game. He shot 46.0 percent from the field, 37.7 percent from 3-point range, and 83.6 percent from the free throw line.

You could make a case that some players were better, but that list of qualifiable candidates would be short.
