NBA: New Year’s Resolutions For All 30 Teams
Cleveland Cavaliers
Give LeBron James Some Rest
With the Bulls dealing with their own issues, the Miami Heat trying to figure out how to incorporate Goran Dragic and the Toronto Raptors still even money to make it out of the first round, it must be lonely at the top for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who haven’t even played that well en route to an early two-game lead for the No. 1 seed in the East.
However, 36 minutes per game is an awful lot to ask of a guy who just turned 31 years old, especially when bearing in mind how much responsibility is placed on LeBron James‘ shoulders on a nightly basis.
For the Cavs to have enough left in the tank by the time they (likely) make it to the NBA Finals, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love have to stay healthy to give LeBron a reprieve from time to time.
