NCAA: Missing Piece For Top Teams Entering Conference Play

Oklahoma Sooners: Beating Kansas
It’s incredibly hard to nitpick a team that’s one of the few unbeatens left in America, has one of the best players in the nation (Buddy Hield), one of the best offenses known to college hoops (87 points per game) and won’t allow teams to hit three-pointers (28.1 percent allowed, 14th in the nation).
But there is one issue at large for the Sooners, though it’s the same issue for all Big 12 teams to some degree. Can they beat Kansas?
This may be the year to get it done and they’ll get one of the first cracks to get it done when they play the Jayhawks on Monday at Allen Fieldhouse. Unfortunately, that comes just two days after playing Iowa State at home.
Winning both games would be huge for Oklahoma. It’s going to take everything the Sooners have to get that done, though, and playing just one of them can take a lot out of an opponent. Playing both back-to-back?
Let’s just say that if somehow the Sooners pull this off, pencil them in to the Final Four on Tuesday and keep them there.
