11. Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol, Los Angeles Lakers

These are dark times for the Los Angeles Lakers nowadays, but days of glory were not that long ago for the storied franchise.

Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol formed the most recent dynamic duo for the Lakers, leading them to two NBA championships and an NBA Finals appearance between 2007 and 2010.

They played together from 2007-08, when Gasol was acquired by the Lakers from the Memphis Grizzlies in a trade deadline deal, until 2013-14 when Gasol departed via free agency for the Chicago Bulls.

The Lakers went 262-193 in their seven year run, good for a winning percentage of 57.5 percent, the low number of which is thanks largely to an injury-riddled 2013-14 campaign in which they went 27-55.

The Lakers made the playoffs every season aside from that 2013-14 season, and it was the finest era of Lakers basketball since Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe joined forced in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
