By Duncan Smith
14. Dave Cowens and Jo Jo White, Boston Celtics
Among the many great players and duos to darken the doors and play on the famed parquet at the Boston Garden in the heydays of the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, not the least of these was the pairing of Dave Cowens and Jo Jo White.
The inside-outside duo of big man Cowens and point guard White helped lead the Celtics to a 443-295 record, winning 60 percent of their games between 1970-71 and 1978-79 and two NBA championships in 1973-74 and 1975-76.
Both players have been inducted into the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame, with Cowens being inducted in 1991 and White more recently in 2015.
Over their nine years together, White averaged 18.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game, while Cowens averaged 18.6 points, 14.6 rebounds, four assists, 1.2 steals and one block per game.
