19. Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat

Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade made for a tremendous center-guard duo for the Miami Heat. Shaq was nearing the twilight of his career, and Wade was just beginning his, and the two combined forces to lead the Miami Heat to the 2005-06 NBA championship.

Shaq was in his 12th NBA season when he was traded by the Los Angeles Lakers to the Heat, and Wade was in just his second. Shaq wanted to go to the Heat to play with Wade, whom he nicknamed “Flash.”

The Heat quickly improved with O’Neal, going from a pedestrian 42-40 record in 2003-04 to a 59-23 mark in 2004-05. They were defeated by the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals that season, but got vengeance on the Pistons in 2005-06 when they beat them in six games en route to winning the NBA championship over the Dallas Mavericks.

In the three years the Shaq and Wade duo was together, the Heat went 155-91, good for a winning percentage of 63 percent.
