Top Four Centers

  1. DeAndre Jordan, Los Angeles Clippers ($7,600) vs. Washington Wizards
  2. Nikola Vucevic, Orlando Magic ($8,000) vs. New Orleans Pelicans
  3. Al Horford, Atlanta Hawks ($6,900) vs. Indiana Pacers
  4. Hassan Whiteside, Miami Heat ($7,500) vs. Brooklyn Nets

Rationale:

  • Last time Jordan faced Washington without Griffin in tow he pulled down 22 boards, and the Wizards are third worst overall in their past 10 games against his position. The former Aggie is probably top four-worthy on most nights while  Griffin is shelved with a quad injury.
  • Vucevic is coming off a 49 fantasy point night in his last outing and he has exceeded the 40-point threshold on FanDuel NBA in four of his past five games overall. Tonight should be five out of six against a Pelicans squad that is third worst overall against pivots.
  • Horford produced 43.7 fantasy points in his most recent game and the Pacers are fourth worst vs. centers over their last 10 contests. The former Gator averaged 19.7 PPG in three meetings with Indiana last season, which was well above his 15.2 PPG overall.
  • Whiteside was a letdown in his last game with just 20.2 fantasy points, but he has a good chance of bouncing back against a Brooklyn team that is second-most generous to his position over their past 10 games. Included in their magnanimous total is a 20-point, 13-rebound night from Whiteside himself when the teams faced off earlier this month, so (as with Wade) he should build upon that total when the “road version” of the Nets pay a visit.
