2016 NBA Rookie Ladder: Is Karl-Anthony Towns Already A Star?
10. Bobb Portis, Chicago Bulls
He hasn’t had a large sample size to work with, but from what I’ve seen of Bobby Portis he looks every part of an NBA player.
Portis just seems to know what he’s doing when he’s out on the floor. From setting screens to moving to the right places both in transition and in the halfcourt, Portis is capable of so many things for a big man. Not to mention he has a legitimate three-point shot in his arsenal at such a young age.
He’s had a few breakout performances already, scoring 20 points on 8-of-18 shooting and grabbing 11 rebounds against the New York Knicks and he helped the Bulls knock off the Oklahoma City Thunder on Christmas with seven points and five rebounds in 20 minutes of action.
This is his first time in these rankings because he hasn’t played in games thanks to the stacked froncourt depth chart of Chicago.
However, if he continues to get minutes he will rise here. He’s that good.
