The Return Of Danny Green’s Jump Shot

Life is good for the San Antonio Spurs. Kawhi Leonard is an MVP candidate and a Defensive Player of the Year candidate; LaMarcus Aldridge has been integrated more quickly than anyone expected even if his individual numbers aren’t great; Tony Parker and Tim Duncan keep chugging along; and the Spurs boast the league’s No. 1 defense by a Boris Diaw-sized margin.

But if there were one thing that would make San Antonio even more dangerous out West, it would be for sharpshooter Danny Green to find his touch again. So far this season, Green is shooting just 35.1 percent from the field and converting only 30.9 percent of his 4.5 three-point attempts per game.

It’s a minor gripe at this point since the Spurs machine is still rolling the way it always does, but an improved Danny Green would make them that much more dangerous to the Warriors at the top of the NBA food chain.
