Derek Fisher Finally Changing The Starting Lineup

The New York Knicks‘ starting point guard is trash and needs to be demoted already. Jose Calderon is the New York Knicks’ starting point guard. But with head coach Derek Fisher‘s mind still enveloped in the triangle, the linear reasoning that Calderon needs to be moved to the bench has been lost on him.

To be honest, I think most Knicks fans would be perfectly happy with either capable replacement moving ahead of Calderon in the rotation. Jerian Grant is a rookie who’s prone to make mistakes and is only shooting 36.9 percent from the floor and an anemic 16.7 percent from distance, but he’s a far more willing defender than Calderon and has WAY more upside.

There’s also Langston Galloway, who, despite a nasty shooting slump over the last few weeks, is still a far better long-term option at age 24. Perhaps a move to the starting lineup would bolster his confidence. In any case, this business of starting Jose Calderon has got to come to an end. It’s almost 2016 for crying out loud!
