NBA Christmas: A Gift For Every Team’s Wish List
Miami Heat
Enter The Dragon
Other than scoring a five-year, $90 million extension over the summer, it’s been a rough year for Goran Dragic in his first full season with the Miami Heat. Averaging 11.3 points and 5.3 assists per game on 43.7 percent shooting, Dragic is a far cry from the Third Team All-NBA player he was in his final full season with the Phoenix Suns.
Not too long ago, the Dragon was lighting up opposing defenses with his crafty maneuvering and efficient shooting, but now his wings have been clipped by Dwyane Wade‘s similar need for the ball to be in his hand. The Heat are winning games, but Dragic has clearly been the weak link in the rotation and the one obstacle preventing Miami from joining the ranks of the elite.
From having his tooth knocked out to playing the first month of the season without his family to earning the first ejection of his career, it’s been a rough year for Dragic so far. Until he goes back to being the Dragon, the Cavs will have an unquestionable grip on the East.
