Memphis Grizzlies

Kevin Martin?

This might actually make too much sense for it to happen in real life, but the Memphis Grizzlies badly need three-point shooting as the worst long range shooting team in the NBA. This has been their fatal flaw for years now, and the arrival of Mario Chalmers hasn’t changed anything.

At this point, it’s fair to question whether the Grizzlies should blow it up, but the more likely scenario is that they retool the roster for one last attempt at a playoff run. Marc Gasol and Mike Conley are having down years compared to last season, but when they play well, the Grizz have a fighting chance.

With Zach LaVine thriving in his true position and Andrew Wiggins better suited for the shooting guard spot, Kevin Martin has become expendable for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Memphis still needs major help on the defensive end, but adding a proven shooter and scorer like Martin could do wonders for a team that’s finally starting to embrace the pace-and-space era.
