There are some trades the Oklahoma City Thunder could consider to upgrade their shooting guard spot.

Despite being one of the hottest teams in the NBA and having the No. 2-ranked offense, the Oklahoma City Thunder don’t have a legitimate two-way shooting guard on the roster.

Coach Billy Donovan has used a rotation of Andre Roberson and Dion Waiters to fill out these minutes. Roberson is an excellent wing defender and his offense is coming along slowly, but he can’t quite be counted on to make a big basket in crunch time. Waiters is a streaky shooter with average (at best) defense who has had shining moments, but isn’t as consistent as Donovan would like.

The Thunder have some pieces on their roster with some trade value, and they could use those to acquire a legitimate 2-guard to bolster their starting lineup and rotation as a whole.

There are multiple teams around the league with players who could fit into a three-and-D role and upgrade the Thunder lineup. Acquiring players who are either on bad teams or not fitting into a team’s scheme would be ideal targets, as the Thunder could get the most bang for their buck getting any of these guys.
