3. Indiana Pacers

Larry Bird, Frank Vogel, and the Indiana Pacers are building one of the more dynamic offensive attacks in the NBA. When Paul George is at power forward, there are four players on the floor who can operate from the perimeter and put points on the board.

The one thing that’s missing: a player who can consistently create offense from the post.

With a combination of George and Pau Gasol, the Pacers would catapult into the championship discussion. Indiana is already an intriguing contender due to its perimeter strength, but the presence of a star big man would change everything.

Not only would Gasol create from the high post, but he’d collapse defenses as an interior scoring threat.

The Bulls are highly unlikely to trade Gasol within the division, but if the return is strong enough, they may. Gasol doesn’t have the history that Joakim Noah does with Chicago, which could make a parting of ways easier to stomach.

Either Monta Ellis or George Hill—or both—would likely need to be a part of the package, but that’d be acceptable if it means All-NBA stars Gasol and George were working together in pursuit of a title.
