2. Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards have a borderline superstar in point guard John Wall and a proven postseason performer in shooting guard Bradley Beal. They also have a steady force at center in Marcin Gortat, but steady might not be enough for Washington to make the leap.

If the Wizards can swing a deal for Joakim Noah to either start or play big minutes off of the bench, it’d behoove them to do so.

Noah would add another playmaker to the offense, which is what Washington desperately needs. Wall is a master facilitator and is becoming a more well-rounded scorer, but the Wizards suffer from a lack of diversity on offense.

Throw in Noah’s average of 4.7 offensive rebounds per 36 minutes and it’s clear how valuable he’d be to Washington—a team that ranks No. 25 in offensive rebounding.

Defensively, Noah’s intensity and vocal leadership would help Washington return to the level it played in 2013-14 and 2014-15. After ranking in the Top 10 in scoring defense in both of those seasons, it’s No. 24 in 2015-16.

Noah and the Wizards have some bad blood, but if they could deal Nene Hilario‘s expiring contract and a wing for him, it’d be a bold and potentially fruitful move.
