Honorable Mention: Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings have made the decision to move DeMarcus Cousins to power forward—again. Despite his superior efficiency at center, Sacramento believes that Cousins can operate from the 4.

If the Kings plan to move forward with this strategy, they’ll need a player who can thrive at the center position—right now.

Joakim Noah and Rajon Rondo aren’t exactly the best of friends, and this is why Sacramento falls under the, “Honorable mention,” tab. Cousins, Rondo and George Karl have done an impressive job of keeping it all together, but adding Noah to the mix might be one combustible element too many.

Noah has never been accused of being difficult to coach, and he’s heralded as a great teammate, but the risk exists.

If it were to stabilize on a personal level, this would be an outstanding trade. Noah could salvage the defensive interior, help Rondo in the facilitating department, and control the boards on both ends.

This is a risky move, but if it were to pay off, Sacramento would be a significantly better team because of it.
