At the league’s deepest position, there lies one man who has stood head and shoulders above the rest. He’s not the biggest, nor the quickest — and he definitely does not jump the highest — but you might start a riot in the streets of Oakland if you don’t think he’s the most skilled player in the game.

Stephen Curry has taken his MVP blueprint of last year and turned his brand of stress-inducing, no-conscience brand of free-flowing ball to a whole other stratosphere.

Statistically, he’s having perhaps the best offensive season in NBA history, putting up record breaking figures in PER, WS/48 and VORP. In addition, he’s leading the league in RPM by a country mile.

From his ankle-breaking crossovers, to his jaw-dropping 30-foot pull-up flick shots, Curry has — by far — been the best player in the game this season. It also doesn’t hurt his overwhelming case as his Golden State Warriors continue to run amok on the entire league, losing just once in 27 games.
